Hi all,

My name is Kiran and I run Etang de Planchon.

Etang de Planchon is a friendly carp fishing destination within the Haute Vienne region of France, near the lovely market town of Chateauponsac which has bars, restaurants and shops and is 30 minutes away from Limoges Airport.

This beautiful four acre lake is set in a ten acre estate and is a secluded and secure venue which caters for a maximum of five anglers per week, licensed for day and night fishing where no permits are required.
This is the perfect destination for first timers to France, novice or well seasoned anglers. You can be assured of a very warm and friendly welcome at a venue with superb facilities and great fishing.

The venue also includes a fully contained two bedroom Gite overlooking the lake, which can be hired and is ideal for anglers bringing their family, friends and partners.
To ensure you have a fantastic holiday, we will work with you and help you to customise the packages to meet your requirements.

If you fancy a long weekend break instead of a week, please contact us and we will work with you on your requirements

2011 was Etang de Planchon first season and saw 86 anglers gracing the banks, not all of whom did full weeks, and it also saw 1115 carp landed totalling over 11.5 ton of fish of which 173 were commons and 74 were 30's.

Check out our catch reports for our second season in the foreign catch reports section, they will start after our first week at the begining of April 2012.

If you would like to check out all the catches for 2011 our newsfeeds section has all the write ups for 2011, also the newsfeeds section has the development work that was completed before opening. Etang de Planchon - News feeds

All the best for 2012, I hope it is a fruitful and eventful one for you all.

Hi Kiran,

thank you for the informative "write up"

Etang de Planchon sounds like a beautiful fishery you have created there, set in a stunning location from the looks of that lovely picture.

Best wishes for the forthcoming season.

Hi all,

With the second season rapidly approaching, all the swims have now been refreshed and steps put in to help with returning the carp to the water.

Additionally signs have been added next to each swim, the signs were made locally.

Below are some pictures of the swims and one of the signs.

Apart from cutting the grass, the lake is now ready for the first anglers to grace the banks of Etang de Planchon.

Kestrel Swim

Hawk Swim

Buzzard Swim
