Avid Corn stops and Sight stops

Well everywhere i look in the mags these days it seems everybody is tipping their baits with these.

Are they really that good?

First it was Boilies, then it was Plastics, now it seems best is boilies and plastics together.

I think these little stops are a great wee invention, but do they really increase your chances of a take.

Anybody using them and noticed a dramatic upturn in their catch rate.

i find them handy for increasing the hair length for varied bait sizes and my catch rate has not gone down.. i think they are just a visual aid
